Donald Newman — UPDATED
Donald “Don” Newman, 60, Akron, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family and loved ones, after a very courageous three-year battle with cancer.
Please join the family for a celebration of life in memory of Donald Newman at the Kosciusko REMC Building, 370 S. 250E, Warsaw. The family will be gathering from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 23, to share some food and some of favorite memories, stories to laugh ,to cry and remember a wonderful person who will be greatly missed. We all hope to see you there.

Don Newman
Don was born to Robert and Shirley Newman on July 16, 1962. He was a 1980 graduate of Tippy Valley, where he met the love of his life, Tammy (Leiter) Newman. They had two children, Shandi (Brad) Brady, Argos, and Shad (Ann) Newman, Warsaw. He had six grandchildren, Kayden, Maddox, Jase, Zalea, Olivia and Lilly, whom he adored dearly.
Don enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, making fireball candy and attending his grandchildren’s activities. He retired from Zimmer after 34 years.
Don is also survived by his in-laws, Ted and Karen Leiter; siblings, Cathy (Jim) McClone, Rob (Patti) Newman, Dusty Newman, Tim (Cynthia) Leiter and Tracey (Jim) Moore, and several nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shirley Newman. Don is graciously donating his remains to IU Anatomical Education Program in the hope of helping others.
