Barbara Miller — UPDATED
Barb Miller, age 85, of Pierceton, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, from injuries she sustained in a motor vehicle collision. Her passing is unexpected.

Barb Miller
Born Barbara Sue Wallen, Barb was the daughter of Newton Wallen and Betty Hall Wallen. She was born in Prestonsburg, Ky., on Feb. 4, 1938, and spent her formative years there, moving to Indiana when she was 12 years old.
Barb was family focused and loved her family dearly. She was incredibly proud of her children and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she was thrilled to welcome three great-great-grandchildren to the family in the last several years. She liked to read and is remembered for her love of games, especially Rook and bingo. She enjoyed garage sales, shopping, finding a good deal and liked all kinds of music. She is also remembered for the comfort food she made: fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, and many other things. All of this was made better when it was with her family.
United in marriage to Lloyd D. Miller on Sept. 19, 1953, Lloyd and Barb spent nearly 61 years together before his passing in 2014. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in passing by two sons, Gene and Fred Miller; two granddaughters, Skylar Roszak and Chandler Miller; three brothers, Ernie, Jack and Woody Wallen; and two sisters, Donna Crumb and Delores Rose. Surviving with memories to cherish are seven children: Laudice (Mike) Meinert, of Bourbon, Lowell (Cami) Miller, Rochester, Evelyn (Rick) Rickel, Mentone, Bobbie (Mike) Roszak, of Mentone, Lloyd (Betty) Miller Jr., Bourbon, William (Stacey) Miller, Warsaw, and Kenny (Kelly) Miller, Silver Lake; 26 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and six siblings, brother, William Wallen, of South Whitley; and sisters, Jo (Clifford) Clevenger, Pierceton, Laura Wallen, Warsaw, Betty Wallen, Warsaw, Braska Rose, Warsaw, and Tammy (Rex) Allen, Warsaw.
