Two Flown From Two-Vehicle Accident On US 30

WARSAW — Multiple people were injured after a two-vehicle accident on US 30, east of Warsaw.
Shortly after 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, emergency personnel responded to a vehicle accident in the westbound lanes of US 30, near CR 325E.
According to Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Sgt. Doug Light, a black GMC Yukon was attempting to travel north across the westbound lanes of US 30. The GMC’s driver failed to yield the right-of-way to a westbound Napa van.
A total of four people were injured, including the van’s driver and three occupants in the GMC. One person was ejected from the GMC. The van sustained heavy front-end damage and the GMC had extensive damage.
Two medical helicopters were called to the scene and took two people injured in the accident to nearby hospitals.
Traffic for westbound and eastbound lanes of US 30 was halted near the accident scene.
Responding agencies include KCSO, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Lutheran EMS, Parkview Samaritan, and Air Evac Lifeteam.
