Christian Hip-Hop, Spoken Word Artists At Grace College

WINONA LAKE — Grace College will welcome Christian hip-hop artist Shai Linne and his wife, spoken word artist Blair Linne, from 9 a.m. until noon for the Day of Worship on Tuesday, April 18. Shai and Blair Linne will be speaking in chapel. The free service is open to the public and will take place at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center, 610 Wooster Road.
“Shai and Blair Linne have an amazing ministry, teaching God’s word in various forms,” said Brent Mencarelli, dean of chapel and community life. “They show us how to integrate our faith into all aspects of our lives and to use our gifts to bring God glory.”
Shai Linne’s most popular albums include “The Attributes of God” and “The Atonement.” In 2018, he published his book for children and parents, “God Made Me and You,” about celebrating God’s design for ethnic diversity. Linne also helped plant Risen Christ Fellowship in his hometown of Philadelphia. Linne has collaborated with Lecrae, Trip Lee, Timothy Brindle, Flame, Hazakim and numerous other Christian rappers.
Blair Linne is an actress, author, speaker and spoken word artist. She is known as one of the originators of Christian spoken word poetry. She has written poetry for Sprite, Neutrogena, NBC and the Gospel Coalition. She has appeared in numerous television shows including “Days of Our Lives,” “Malcolm in the Middle,” “Boston Public,” “The Parkers” and “American Dreams,” as well as her own Saturday morning show, “SK8 (Skate)” on NBC.
Shai and Blair Linne have three children, Sage, Maya and Ezra.
