UPDATE: Kendallville Man Airlifted After Wreck Near County Highway Garage

WARSAW — A Kendallville man was airlifted following a wreck Friday evening, April 7, by the Kosciusko County Highway Department Garage.
It happened at 4:33 p.m. on North CR 300E north of East Old Road 30, Warsaw.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office accident report, Leo C. Lange, 37, South State Street, Kendallville, was traveling south on CR 300E in a blue 2018 Chevrolet Malibu.
He lost control of his vehicle, and it left the east side of the roadway. The Malibu hit a NIPSCO pole and rolled multiple times.
Lange, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was ejected and landed about 40 feet away from the vehicle. He was transported by helicopter to Lutheran Fort Wayne with incapacitating injuries, complaining of head pain.
Damages are estimated at up to $50,000.
