Dear Editor,

I feel a terrible affliction has been forced upon the reverend and serene flock this week.

The lowly hen has been accused of hideous crimes and indescribable behaviors. The poor hen, who works tirelessly to eat ticks and bugs, is treated less than these insects herself. She who softly clucks and gives wholesome proteins to the family that give her shelter. Woe be to them that ban this selfless, noble fowl.

In the end, every town should welcome the female of the chickens. She with no voice that crows yet gloriously gives friendship, laughter and food that provide shelter. Free the HEN.
