Four Transported After Three-Vehicle Chain Reaction Crash

The white Nissan Altima was struck from behind by a Dodge Grand Caravan after the Nissan hit the back of a Ford Explorer. At least four people in the three vehicles were transported to area hospitals.

SYRACUSE — At least four people were transported to area hospitals following a three-vehicle chain reaction accident on SR 13, south of Syracuse.
Turkey Creek Fire Territory and EMS was called at 3:53 p.m. to 11636 N. SR 13. This was at the entrance to Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation.
A Dodge Grand Caravan, Nissan Altima and Ford Explorer were involved in the crash. Information at the scene indicated the Ford Explorer was struck from behind by the Nissan Altima. The Altima was then struck by the Dodge Grand Caravan.
Tippecanoe Township Fire EMS was called to assist with the patients.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s office investigated with assistance from Syracuse Police.

- Both the Dodge Caravan and Nissan Altima sustained extensive damage.
