Douglas L. Haney, 76, of Warsaw, passed at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Parkview Randallia Hospital of Fort Wayne.

Douglas L. Haney
Doug was born on Jan. 2, 1947, in Warsaw, to the late Roy A. and Maxine (Holderman) Haney. He was married to Connie Teel Haney. He was then married, on April 6, 2016, in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, to Christine Williamson-Lozier, who survives.
He was a 1965 graduate of Mentone High School. Doug worked for Zimmer Orthopedics for over 30 years. He retired in 2014 from packaging as a team leader. But farming was his real passion. He raised cattle, grain and baled hay, all with John Deere equipment.
He was a member of the North Winona Church of the Brethren of Warsaw. He was an active grandfather in his grandchildren’s lives. Doug gave every child born in his family a John Deere tractor. He loved to give out silver dollars to the family at Christmas. Doug could fix anything and always had the piece he needed on the farm. He enjoyed camping, nature and collecting rocks that he polished. He was a man who lived a faith-based life.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Haney, of Warsaw; daughter, Carmen Howard, of Mentone; grandchildren, Adam Eagleson, Kathy Eagleson and Sydney Howard; and sister, Penny, and husband John Ramsey Jr., of Akron.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jill L. Runkle; and infant sister, Deborah Jo Haney.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with Pastor Michael Smith officiating.
The interment will take place following the service in the Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green.
Visitation hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, April 10, at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
