WARSAW — Local artist Steve Creighton will be serving as one of five jurors for the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society’s 2023 Spring International Online Exhibition scheduled to be exhibited May 22 through May 22, 2024 online. Creighton, a signature member of NOAPS, will be reviewing over 1,000 paintings submitted for the exhibition.

The juror team, using a special online selection process beginning April 21 and ending April 27, will narrow the number of paintings to 150, and those paintings will be included in this year’s exhibit. Jurors will be considering the paintings’ overall impression and beauty, composition, value, use of color and technical skill as they review each painting.

Creighton majored in both art and business at Valparaiso University as an undergraduate and continued his art education with graduate art courses at Indiana University. His still life and landscape oil paintings have won numerous awards including multiple best of show distinctions. His studio is in Warsaw.
