SOUTH WHITLEY — The Indiana Department of Transportation will soon close part of SR 14 for a resurfacing project between Whitko Drive and Water Street in South Whitley.

Along with the resurfacing, crews will be working on curbs, drainage structures and the sidewalks.

Work is scheduled to begin on or after April 3, with the closure of SR 14 expected to last until mid-June.

During the closure, drivers should use the posted detour of SR 5, SR 105, SR 114 and SR 13, or seek an alternate route.

INDOT encourages drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when traveling in and around all work zones.
