Wilma Richardson
Wilma Richardson, age 84, of Claypool, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital, Warsaw.
Wilma was born March 1, 1939, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to the late Edward “Eddie” Yates and Elzira (Marshall) Yates. She was united in marriage to William “Bev” Richardson, and they shared 60 years together prior to his passing.

Wilma was a retired bus driver for the Warsaw schools for the handicapped. She enjoyed shopping, especially at the shops in Shipshewana. She was involved in the Halloween Cookouts, enjoyed traveling and camping, and she cherished the gatherings with her family and friends. Wilma’s favorite car was the Cadillac, and her favorite type of music was the old Kentucky country music. She was a member of the Warsaw Moose Lodge 1423.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy (George) Shepherd, Claypool; sister, Phyllis (Gary) Beane, Rochester; brother, William “Bub” (Judy) Yates, Palestine; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and 20 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, “Bev,” she was preceded in death by two sons, Tim and Rob Richardson; three brothers, Ronnie Yates, Willard Yates and Terry Yates; and a sister, Thelma Black.
A celebration of Wilma’s life will be held at a later date.
