Boil Order Issued Due To Water Main Break
SYRACUSE — The Town of Syracuse issued a boil order at approximately 1:30 p.m. due to a water main break earlier today, Tuesday, March 21. The affected area is Pickwick Drive from SR 13 to Poplar Drive and on Forrest Drive.
Mark Aurich, public works superintendent, said in an email, he anticipated the repair to the water main to be complete around 4 p.m. today. Afterwards the line will be heavily flushed and water samples sent to the lab for a 24 hour analysis.
“After service is restored residents may use water, but anything for human consumption should be boiled as a precaution,” Aurich stated. Residents will be notified when the boil advisory is lifted.
“We thank everyone for their patience during this repair,” he said.
