Special Olympics Kosciusko County Basketball Athletes Compete In Regional Tournament

LOGANSPORT — Special Olympics athletes from Kosciusko County competed at the Indiana Special Olympics Area 5 sectional basketball tournament on Saturday, March 18, at Logansport High School.

The Kosciusko County Jaguars won their first game against Cass County Kats but lost their next game to the Howard County Bobcats, which ended their advancement to the state tournament.
The Kosciusko County Panthers lost to the Montgomery Park Indians in their first game which eliminated the team from the state tournament.
Robert Svinarich place third in the basketball skills tournament, earning a bronze medal.
Becky Walls, Kosciusko County coordinator for Special Olympics would like to thank the coaches, Amy Brown and Joe Baranowski for their outstanding work.
The new season is starting for bocce and track and field with practice Tuesday, March 21, at Dewamac Park.
