North Webster Community Public Library — Consider Attending The Cricut Basics Class

NORTH WEBSTER — Have you been interested in leveling up your arts and crafts game by using a Cricut cutting machine? Do you have a Cricut machine but aren’t sure how it works? Would you like more information about a Cricut before making the plunge to purchase one?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you might want to consider attending the Cricut Basics class being held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 22. Join Molly as she teaches the basics of using a Cricut, such as setting up your account and downloading templates. Plus try a few projects to test out your skills. Please register in advance.
The following activities are set to take place at North Webster Community Public Library. Attendees do not need a library card to participate in any of these events.
Adult Events
Women’s self-defense class, 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22. Join Steve Hanford from Lions Karate as he demonstrates self-defense skills and moves for women of all ages. Please register in advance.
Virtual reality time, 3:30-5:30 p.m. Friday, March 24. Come discover a whole new world in a virtual environment using the Oculus gaming system. This program will be happening for the next six weeks and is open to both adults and teens.
Teen Events
Have the after-school blues? Stop by between 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, March 20, to hang out with friends, play board games and battle in Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch. Feel free to bring your own games to play. Snacks, coffee and pop will be provided. No registration is required.
Youth Events
Since school will be closed Monday, March 20, NWCPL will be hosting family bingo starting at 10:30 a.m. Join in for a game or two — they will be playing until everybody wins.
Baby and toddler time, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 21. Join Miss Cathy for songs, stories and meaningful play.
Preschool story time, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 22. Bring your children for a fun time of age-appropriate stories, games, crafts and play.
Family movie time, 5 p.m. Thursday, March 23. This month they will be showing the Disney classic, “Peter Pan.” Bring your blankets and water bottles; they will provide the snacks.
