AKRON — Work on the pool has been part of the construction thus far as part of Tippecanoe Valley High School’s renovation.
The Tippecanoe Valley School Board heard that news from The Skillman Corp. Project Manager Scott Rogers as part of an update on the project at its public work session on Thursday, March 16, at TVHS.
The Skillman Corp. is the construction management company for the project. Also present Thursday was Project Manager Michael Schipp with Fanning Howey, the design firm for the renovation.
Rogers noted pool demolition has started and workers are moving utilities and have taken out asphalt and concrete for additions to the school.
“Sometime here in about the middle of April, you’re going to start seeing some more holes dug out for all the footings and foundations, and then we will get the concrete poured and start putting (some) walls up,” he said.
Rogers also provided the board with an updated schedule of when parts of the project should be completed, which may be viewed above.
In other business, the board:
- Heard the annual update on TVHS would be given by TVHS Principal Brandon Kresca and his staff at the regular board meeting set to start at 6 p.m. Monday, March 20, at TVHS.
- Heard it was to vote on hiring Tricia Sederholm as the TVHS girls’ soccer coach at Monday’s meeting.
