Merl E. Wise, 69, Nappanee, died at 10:10 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2023, at his residence.

He was born May 21, 1953. On Oct. 6, 1972, he married Diane Hunsberger, who survives.

He also is survived by his daughter, Christi Stankovich, Wakarusa; son, Jeff (Jenn) Wise, Nappanee; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; two sisters, Barb (John) Kindig, Goshen, and Betty (Dave) Hahn, Nappanee; and a brother-in-law, Steve Biller, Warsaw.
