LEESBURG — Mike Searfoss has filed to run as Leesburg Clerk-Treasurer.
Searfoss was initially appointed by the board in 2013 to fill the remainder of the term vacated by the previous clerk-treasurer.
He has since been elected by the residents of Leesburg in 2015 and again in 2019.
If elected, his goal is, “To continue keeping taxes low and to do whatever I can for the town of Leesburg.”
He is retired from Dana Corporation, Syracuse and is a former financial secretary for United Auto Workers Local 1405 and a former QC inspector at Medtronic.
Searfoss lived in the Barbee Lakes area for 30 years before moving to Leesburg in 1993, where he resides with his wife, Sally.
