Mary Maggie Patterson
Mary Maggie Patterson, of Warsaw, passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Paddock Spring Assisted Living, Warsaw, at the age of 93.

She was born on Oct. 28, 1929, in Wellsville, Kan., to Maggie O. (Miller) Ellenwood and C. Burr Ellenwood. Mary moved to Indiana with her family in 1940 and graduated from Claypool High School in 1947. At the young age of 17, Mary knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Dale Richard Patterson. They were married on July 20, 1947, and were blessed with 45 years of marriage together before Dale passed away on Sept. 8, 1992.
Mary loved being a mother and caring for her family. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to serve her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed the fellowship of her church family at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Winona Lake. Mary will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many. She lived a long and full life and saw many wonderful things in her lifetime of 93 years on this Earth and will now enjoy her eternal home in Heaven!
She leaves behind two daughters, Cynthia (Richard) Roderick, Warsaw, and Beverly (Terry) Jordan, Warsaw; and two sons, Dewey (Sandy) Patterson, Warsaw, and Duane (Shawn) Patterson, Warsaw. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Phil (Stephanie) Patterson, St. Louis; Lindsay (Jeremy) Neely, Warsaw; Kevin Jordan, Pennsylvania; Donna (Kevin) Dunithan, Silver Lake; Bobby (Melissa) Jordan, Warsaw; Kristi (Andy) Brock, Daytona Beach, Fla.; Jason (Kristi) Wood, Silver Lake; and Adam (Meghann) Wood, Warsaw; 14 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Ida Cripe, North Manchester. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother and one great-granddaughter.
Mary’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2023, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Eric Sass. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
