Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 1:22 a.m. Sunday, March 5, East SR 14, west of South CR 600E, North Manchester. Driver: Elizabeth D. Brower, 33, West SR 16, Roann. Brower fell asleep while driving, causing her vehicle to strike landscaping, a mailbox, a post and a culvert pipe. Damage up to $25,000.
- 9:02 p.m. Friday, March 3, East CR 450N, east of North Third Place, North Webster. Driver: Ean T. Coburn, 17, Marston Drive, Fort Wayne. Coburn’s vehicle left the roadway due to icy road conditions and struck a tree. Passengers Abrielle Luttrell and Ruben Vela were transported for complaints of back and knee pain. Damage up to $10,000.
- 6:54 p.m. Friday, March 3, South Country Club Road, south of East CR 450S, Warsaw. Driver: Amelia D. Dunlap, 38, North Williamson Drive, Warsaw. Dunlap struck a steel post due to icy road conditions. Damage up to $10,000.
- 6:24 p.m. Friday, March 3, West CR 900N, east of North CR 625W, Milford. Driver: Sean R. Ulrich, 28, Laporte Avenue, South Bend. Ulrich struck a pole with his vehicle due to icy road conditions. Damage up to $5,000.
- 6:10 p.m. Friday, March 3, North SR 13, north of EMS B7 Lane, North Webster. Drivers: Christopher W. Nance, 47, West Tiddle Wink Trail, Kimmell; and Anthony J. Meek, 46, East Fox Run Drive, Syracuse. Nance’s vehicle crossed the center line due to icy road conditions and collided head-on with Meek’s vehicle. Damage up to $50,000.
- 5:45 p.m. Friday, March 3, US 30, west of East CR 200N, Pierceton. Driver: Kalyah E. Jantawi, 26, Boardwalk Circle, Fort Wayne. Jantawi’s vehicle slid into the trailer of a semi truck due to icy road conditions. The semi left the area following the accident. Damage up to $25,000.
- 4:36 p.m. Friday, March 3, North SR 15, north of West Plum Street, Leesburg. Drivers: Jessica R. Asire, 32, Huffman Street, Winona Lake; Christopher S. Fulk, 33, Kinwood Drive, Milford; and Jason D. Ellinger, 47, East Portside Drive, Warsaw. Asire’s northbound vehicle slid into oncoming traffic, colliding with Fulk and Ellinger’s southbound vehicles. Damage up to $25,000.
- 3:52 p.m. Friday, March 3, South SR 25, south of West CR 250S, Warsaw. Driver: Dalton W. Alber, 17, North CR 475E, Rochester. Alber struck a road sign and embankment with his vehicle due to icy road conditions. Damage up to $5,000.
- 3:40 p.m. Friday, March 3, East CR 1000N, east of North SR 13, Syracuse. Driver: Duran L. Griffith, 30, East Haiden Drive, Syracuse. Griffith struck a road sign with his vehicle due to icy road conditions. Damage up to $5,000.
- 3:24 p.m. Friday, March 3, South SR 25, south of West CR 250S, Warsaw. Driver: Lindsey N. Rouch, 28, Main Street, Rochester. Rouch struck a telephone pole with her vehicle due to icy road conditions. Damage up to $10,000.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 3:35 p.m. Friday, March 3, West CR 1250N, west of North CR 60W, Milford. Driver: Freddie A. Yoder, 40, West CR 1250N, Milford. Yoder struck a fence with his vehicle due to icy road conditions. Damage up to $2,500.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 2:36 p.m. Friday, March 3, South SR 13, south of CR 500S, Pierceton. Driver: Dawn T. Eades, 47, South SR 13, North Manchester. Eades’ vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment due to icy road conditions. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 5:48 p.m. Friday, March 3, SR 13, north of East Chicago Street, Syracuse. Driver: Faith R. Ferguson, 46, East Greenhaus Drive, Syracuse. Ferguson struck a light pole with her vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4:29 p.m. Friday, March 3, North CR 500E, south of East CR 900N, Syracuse. Driver: Matheus V. Guimaraes De Oliveira, 27, Shady Lane, Warsaw. Oliveira struck a tree with his vehicle due to icy road conditions. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 3:13 a.m. Sunday, March 5, North Maple Avenue and East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Zackery A. Smith, 31, North Denzel Drive, Syracuse. Smith struck landscaping blocks with his vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 10:27 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2000 block of East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Helen K. Middleton, 64, West Myrtle Glen Road, Silver Lake. Middleton struck a snow plow while attempting to exit a parking lot. Damage up to $5,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 6:29 p.m. Friday, March 3, 800 block of South CR 350E, Warsaw. Driver: Randall S. Paris, 55, Harmony Court, Winona Lake. Paris lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions and struck a mailbox, fence and three unoccupied vehicles. Damage up to $10,000.
