WAKARUSA — Three youth from Warsaw were taken to Elkhart General Hospital following a two-vehicle crash Friday, March 3. The accident, reported at 3:25 p.m. was at SR 119 and CR 7, east of Wakarusa.

Caulin Swinehart, 14, Warsaw; Cannon Swinehart, 12, Warsaw; and Cara Swinehart 11, Warsaw, all complained of head pain.

The three were in a vehicle driven by Brian Swinehart, 50, Warsaw. He was not injured.

According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, Swinehart attempted to stop at the stop sign of SR 119 and CR 7, but slid on the snow covered road. His vehicle went into the intersection and struck a vehicle driven by Carlos Delagarza, 36, Nappanee, head on. Delagarza’s vehicle was forced off the north side of SR 119.

Delagarza was not injured.
