WARSAW — A Warsaw teenager was recently arrested after an alleged incident at a group home.

Zack Rick Harris, 19, Warsaw, is charged with battery to an endangered adult and strangulation, both level 6 felonies.

On Feb. 23, officers responded to an incident in a group home for endangered adults. Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, and Warsaw Police Department responded to the scene.

A staff member in charge of the group home said Harris, a resident, became upset with another resident.

Harris told officers the resident threatened to call police; he then allegedly put the resident in a chokehold and pushed his head into a microwave. The resident said he had difficulty breathing while he was in the chokehold.

Harris was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Feb. 23.
