Sandi Holdeman — UPDATED
Sandra Holdeman, known to her family and friends as Sandi, of Warsaw, passed away at her home surrounded by her children on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, at the age of 66. Born on Sept. 19, 1956, in Fort Wayne, Sandi was the daughter of Charles and Joan (Fruchey) Gibson.
Sandi was a devoted, loving and compassionate mother; her family was her whole world. She worked hard as a single mom to provide everything she could for her two children, never missed her daughter’s sporting events, and loved to spoil her children and grandchildren with homemade cookies. Sandi was a skilled bartender, famous for her strawberry daiquiri and homemade kahlua. Athletic in her younger years, Sandi would bike from Warsaw to Fort Wayne and, most recently, she walked her malamute around her neighborhood. Sandi also loved dolphins, turquoise, sapphires and spending time with her family and friends at the lake or on a beach.
Sandi will be missed by her son, Jim (Jodi) Rose; daughter, Ashley (Elena Archer) Holdeman; grandchildren, Hope, Elijah, Gabriel, Micah, Josiah and Johnathan Rose; sisters, Lois Shatzer and Penny VanHoozen; and boyfriend, Jim Fribley. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services is entrusted with Sandi’s care. The visitation for Sandi will be held from 4-6 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 Sheridan St., Warsaw, until the 6 p.m. memorial service. Pastor Reg Overstreet will be officiating. Please dress comfortably and cheerfully.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to JDRF, P.O. Box 37920, Boone, IA 50037-0920, or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829 Arlington, VA 22215. To leave a condolence, please visit www.TitusFuneralHome.com.
