William Frederick “Fred” Carrico Sr., 85, South Bend, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, at his home in South Bend.

He was born Jan. 24, 1938.

He married Mary (Benn) Carrico on July 2, 1999; she survives.

In addition to his wife, William is survived by his daughter, Caryl (Dennis Miller) Swartz, Kokomo; his sons, Donald Carrico, South Bend, Gregory Carrico and Edward Carrico, both of Bardstown, Ky.; his stepdaughters, Marilyn (John) Lalonde, Edwardsburg, Mich., Nanette (Curtis) Smith, Niles, Mich. and Deanna Hanks, Edwardsburg, Mich.; his stepsons, Michael (Julie) Niedbalski, Bremen and Rick (Sarah) Niedbalski, South Bend; his 19 grandchildren; his 15 great-grandchildren; his sister, Sharon Loeffler, Phoenix, Ariz.; and his brothers, John Carrico, Granger and Danny (Debbie) Carrico, Osceola.
