Eleanor Moffett

Eleanor O. Moffett, 87, Warsaw, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

She was born July 8, 1935, in Hampton, Mass., the daughter of Karl and Alice Olson.

She was united in marriage to Donald H. Moffett on Aug. 12, 1961, in Springfield, Mass.

Eleanor was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Warsaw, and was active in the church hospitality. She enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking and keeping a clean and tidy home. She especially enjoyed cleaning other people’s homes and ministering to them. She showed great compassion while visiting and serving others. In her spare time, she worked word search puzzles and played solitaire.

Survivors include her children Karen Moffett, Karl Moffett and Donna (Andy) Corp, all of Warsaw; grandchildren, Zach (Heather) Corp, Larwill and Renae Corp, Warsaw; and great-grandchildren, Aiden Corp and MacKenzie Corp, both of Larwill. She was preceded by both parents; her husband, Donald (2019); and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Eleanor’s life will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at Fellowship Baptist Church, Warsaw. Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Pastor Layne Sumner will officiate the service.

Interment will be private in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

The family is requesting that memorial donations be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, 1838 E. Kosciusko Drive, Warsaw, IN 46582.
