Dozens Of Firefighters Respond To Residential Fire At Grace Village

WINONA LAKE — Multiple fire departments responded to a residential triplex fire at Grace Village Retirement Community in Winona Lake.
Around 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, Winona Lake Fire Department was dispatched to 1405 Camelot Drive, a condominium-style residence in the Robin Hood Home area of Grace Village.
Visible flames from the building’s roof area could be seen upon emergency personnel’s arrival.
No injuries were reported and those in the triplex were able to safely evacuate.
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Plain Township Fire Department, Tippecanoe Township Fire Territory, Pierceton Fire Department, Burket Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, and Winona Lake Police Department all assisted at the scene.
Burket and Claypool Fire Departments were also placed on standby for Winona Lake and Warsaw; Sidney-Jackson Township Fire Department was placed on standby for Pierceton.
