Munoz Arrested For Strangulation, Domestic Battery

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested after an alleged domestic incident.
Luis David Munoz, 28, 316 S. 325E, Warsaw, is charged with strangulation, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Feb. 4, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a domestic dispute in Warsaw. The deputy spoke with a woman who said Munoz “choked her and pinned her down.”
According to court documents, the woman said Munoz pushed her into a wall, took her to the ground and held her down. He also allegedly forced his forearm against her throat and squeezed her abdominal area with his legs.
The woman told the deputy Munoz squeezed his hands around her throat, causing her to choke. The deputy noticed the woman’s skin around her neck was red and irritated. She also had saliva in her hair and her glasses were broken.
Munoz told the deputy he wanted the woman to calm down and talk. He said he held the woman down with his knees on her arms, but that was it.
Munoz has besen arrested and released on bond. He has an initial hearing at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, in Kosciusko Superior Court Three.
