News Release
ALBION — Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and for those waiting until the last minute to buy a Valentine’s Day gift, Black Pine Animal Sanctuary can help.
Ideas Include:
- Legacy Pavers — These 4×8 ($80) or 8×8 ($150) pavers can be engraved with words of love for those past and present.
- Hubie Ashcraft Concert tickets — Tickets are only $20 for Black Pine’s first big fundraiser of the year, held Friday March 24 at Sylvan Cellars in Rome City.
- Fun Fox Painting Class – Visit The Fox Den in Albion by yourself or with a friend or significant other for a canvas painting class held Sunday, Feb. 19. The cost is $40 per person.
For those wanting a twisted take on the day of love, for only $5, you can purchase a cricket and name it after someone who annoys you. Examples are an ex-significant other, boss, neighbor, family member or politician. Then on Valentine’s Day, Black Pine Animal Sanctuary will stream on Facebook some of their residents enjoying said crickets for a tasty meal.
These items are available for purchase at bpsanctuary.org.
The best part is that all purchases go towards helping Black Pine’s mission to provide refuge to captive-raised exotic animals for the rest of their lives and to educate people about responsible animal care and conservation.
