WARSAW — During the halftime event, Warsaw Community Schools superintendent Dr. David Hoffert gathered with WCS board members Tom Westerhof, Randy Polston and Matt Deuel, along with WCS administrators Dr. Dani Barkey, Tracy Horrell, April Fitterling, Sheila Howe and Krista Polston to recognize Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital for their ongoing support of WCS.

They were joined by Lynn Mergen, CEO of Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital, Dr. Patrick Ilada, Dr. Nick Finley, Dr. Sean Rhodes, Dr. Brian Reichenbach and members of the LKH leadership team.

WCS would like to offer a special thanks to the LKH team for their continued investment. Their support has allowed us to provide many health and wellness opportunities for staff and students and their pledge of $1 million dollars has enabled WCS to make numerous improvements to our athletic facilities and programming.

We appreciate their support of the Warsaw Tigers and we look forward to the continued partnership.

Dr. David Hoffert shared, “WCS is grateful for our ongoing partnership with Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. Through their local partnership and support of our schools have included academic opportunities in the health services for our students, facility upgrades, employee training, athletic/strength trainers and supplies.

“This partnership is a perfect example of a community business providing a much needed and strong support structure for our students. We are extremely grateful and enjoyed celebrating the relationship during a thrilling comeback win.”

WCS also appreciates their support of the health and well being of our larger community.

As the area’s only full service hospital, Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital continues to grow having recently announced a $30 million expansion and renovation to their campus and continual recruitment of medical specialists to serve residents here at home.
