Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 6:07 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, East CR 650N, west of North CR 500E, Leesburg. Driver: Robert O. Bloom, 36, East CR 650N, Leesburg. Bloom’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, East Winona Avenue, north of Argonne Road, Winona Lake. Drivers: Audianna S. Zon, 17, South County Farm Road, Silver Lake; and Audrey E. Montague, 55, West Elm Street, Pierceton. Zon’s vehicle entered the roundabout and hit Montague’s vehicle. Montague was checked by medics at the scene for general pain. Damage up to $5,000.
Elkhart County
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 4:17 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, CR 17, north of CR 42, Goshen. Drivers: Charles Ramer, 36, New Paris; and Jeffrey King, 49, New Paris. King suffered facial lacerations and was taken to Elkhart general Hospital. Ramer was towing a trailer with his 2008 Chevrolet and was braking to turn into a driveway when King’s vehicle struck the back of the trailer. The trailer did not have proper working lights and was not registered. Ramer was cited for not having operational tail lights and failing to register the trailer.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, East Rural Street, Akron. Driver: Courtney K. Duncan. 41, Warsaw. Hit a deer at the entrance to the elementary school.
