Norma Jean Shepherd
Norma Jean Shepherd, 82, Warsaw, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne.
Norma was born Nov. 9, 1940, in Prestonsburg, Ky., the daughter of Linden and Lillie (Elliot) Miller. She has been a resident of Kosciusko County since 1950. She was united in marriage to Talmadge Shepherd on Oct. 13, 1961, who preceded her Aug. 7, 2008.
Norma was known to her family and friends as Jean. She was always full of life and laughter. There was always a smile on her face and love in her heart. Jean loved music and dancing. She was at her happiest when she was around her family and friends. She was a member of the Free United Baptist Church in Pierceton
Jean will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Debra Loskill, Warsaw; son Roger (Tonya) Shepherd, Nappanee; her grandchildren Nichole Loskill, Carl (Savana) Loskill, Nicolette Shepherd, Devra (Shawn) Stahley and Ethan (Merari) Shepherd. In addition, she is survived by one brother Garry (Beverly) Miller; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Talmadge, she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
A visitation with family and friends will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw.
Funeral services in celebration of Jean’s life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, in the funeral chapel with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
