BARBEE LAKE — One person was killed in a wreck near Barbee Lake on Friday, Jan. 20.

First responders were called out around 8:20 a.m. to the single vehicle accident on North CR 650E south of East South Barbee Drive.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Chris McKeand and Patrol Commander Mike Mulligan confirmed to media members that a young woman was traveling southbound on North CR 650E when she “left the roadway for an unknown reason” and wrecked.

More information is to be released later after her family has been notified, they said.

Responding to the scene with the KCSO were Tippecanoe Township Fire Territory and the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
