WINONA LAKE — All four Winona Lake officials whose seats are up for election this year are running again.
Town Clerk-Treasurer Laurie Renier and town council members Austin Reynolds, Ashley McGinnis and Heather James have all filed for reelection.
Renier, Reynolds and McGinnis are all seeking their first full terms as they were caucused in to their roles in 2021 or 2022. James is seeking her second full term, being chosen by caucus in 2017.
“I enjoy the community and town and want to better serve the community,” said Renier of why she was running again.
Reynolds, who represents Ward 1, said he’s “really enjoyed my time serving on the council,” and wants to continue doing so. Ward 2 Councilwoman McGinnis noted she’s just started serving through the council, being chosen by caucus in December, and wants to work to get stuff done.
“I consider it a privilege to serve my community and its residents,” said James, who represents Ward 4 on the council, of why she’s running for another term. “I enjoy being part of the decision-making process and seeing our town continue to grow in positive ways.”
