Passenger Dies In US 30 Crash

WARSAW — Amy R. Hall, 39, Warsaw, a passenger in a 2023 Nissan, was pronounced deceased at the scene of a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning, Jan. 7. The crash occurred on US 30, near Van Ness Road. Emergency personnel responded to the collision at 5:23 a.m.
Hall’s death was as a result of extensive injuries sustained in the crash. She was pronounced deceased by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
Joshua E. Hall, 41, Warsaw, driver of the Nissan, suffered a head injury and was taken to Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne.
Rodney T. White, 49, Fort Wayne, driver of a 2017 Volvo, was uninjured.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s deputies and emergency personnel arrived on the scene and located a Nissan, which had been traveling east on US 30 when it collided with the rear of the Volvo semitractor-trailer for an unknown reason.The Nissan sustained extensive front end and passenger side damage. The semitractor-trailer only sustained damage to the rear of the trailer.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Winona Lake Police Department, Pierceton Fire Department, Lutheran EMS and the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
Officers with the sheriff’s department are still investigating the crash.
