UPDATE: 1 Transported After 3-Vehicle Wreck Near Etna Green

ETNA GREEN — A Tippecanoe woman was transported to a local hospital after her vehicle was one of three involved in a wreck on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
The accident happened shortly after 5 p.m. at West Old Road 30 and CR 875W, east of Etna Green.
According to a Mentone Police Department accident report, Roman W. Turpen, 16, Deerfield Path, Warsaw, was traveling on CR 875W in a white 2014 GMC Acadia.
Turpen said he was stopped at the stop sign and failed to see a black 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Chad. D. Blue, 47, East Center Street, Bourbon, that had been traveling on West Old Road 30. Turpen didn’t yield to Blue’s vehicle, causing a collision.
Blue’s vehicle then hit a utility pole, and Turpen’s vehicle hit a 2014 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Courtney E. Kindig, 34, 18B Road, Tippecanoe, which had been stopped at a stop sign.
Kindig was transported to the hospital after complaining of neck pain. Accident damage is estimated up to $100,000.
