Billy Joe Morris
Billy Joe Morris, 85, North Manchester, joined his wife Betty at the gates of Heaven on Dec. 24, 2022.

In 1966 Billy and Betty moved to North Manchester from Switzer, W.Va., for the promise of better jobs. Always wanting the best for his family, Billy worked hard to provide them with the best life possible.
He was employed at Peabody Seating Co. in North Manchester for many years and then at Majestic in Huntington where he worked in quality control before becoming a supervisor until his retirement.
Even when Billy wasn’t at work, he found things to do around the house to improve it. He was an honest and straightforward man who always gave to those in need.
Billy taught his family the value of hard work and how to be independent, even ensuring they knew how to maintain their own vehicles. He had a passion for working on vehicles and once went so far as to custom build a van.
