WARSAW — Warsaw Community Schools, working with guidance from the health department due to large numbers of reported illnesses and absences, will be closing four of its schools for two days.
Leesburg Elementary School, Jefferson Elementary School, Lakeview Middle School, and Warsaw Community High School will be on a synchronous e-Learning day on Thursday, Dec. 15, and again on Friday, Dec. 16, due to high absenteeism of students, teachers, bus drivers, and support staff. The situation will be closely monitored and updates will be communicated to parents via e-mail.
More information will be forthcoming from building principals and teachers. Transportation staff will be reaching out with necessary bus changes if impacted.
Baker Youth Club will also be providing e-Learning support from noon Thursday.
WCS administration recognize the need to move Leesburg, Jefferson, Lakeview, and WCHS to e-Learning days Dec. 15 and 16, but all other WCS schools will remain open and have in-person learning on their regular schedules.
