Bell Memorial Public Library To Host Free Christmas Movie Showing

MENTONE — Bell Memorial Public Library will be showing “The Polar Express” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, in their large conference room. This is a free event. Teen Craft Night will take place from 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, in the library’s Young Adult Room. This is a free program for kids ages 13–18 years old. Teens will be making DIY ornaments. The library hosts Preschool Story Hour at 2 p.m. every Friday in their Children’s Room. This is a free program for children 2-6 years old. Children listen to a story and complete a craft project related to that week’s theme. Please contact Lancet at (574) 893-3200 or [email protected] for questions.
Junior Book Club for ages 8-12 years old will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, in the library’s Young Adult room. Feel free to bring a friend with you! This is a free program. For information about participating, please contact Salazar at [email protected] or call (574) 893-3200.
Bell Memorial Public Library is in need of donations for their hygiene cabinet. Items needed include deodorant, body wash, bar soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, pads, tampons, combs, brushes, shaving cream, mouthwash, lotions, clothes of all sizes in good condition, hats and gloves. Bell Library now offers Overdrive. Let the library staff know if you would like to join Indiana’s Digital Library to have access to e-books, audiobooks, magazines and collections for teens and kids. The library’s Makerspace is available for public use during regular business hours. Their Cricut machine (along with tools) is for public use as well. They only ask that you bring your own supplies necessary to complete your project. The library does have a Design Space account set up for patron usage if you don’t have one of your own. In need of notary public services? The library has a notary public available Monday to Thursday. Services are free of charge.
