James ‘Jimmy’ Lee Mornout Jr.
James Lee Mornout (Arnett) Jr., affectionately known by all as simply “Jimmy,” 60, Warsaw, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, at Mason Health and Rehabilitation, Warsaw.
He was born Aug.19, 1962, in Lafayette. Jimmy was dearly loved by his parents, Faye A. (Savoldi) Arnett and Oliver Arnett. He always had a smile to share. He loved going to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw with his family, and he enjoyed being a member of Friends of Jesus Class at Sacred Heart. Jimmy learned so much from the Cardinal Center in Warsaw and made many friends there over the years. He especially loved participating in the Special Olympics. He was able to work in the community at Othy and Wildman Business Group and at several other businesses. Jimmy was always eager to help and was a great hard worker. He was proud to be a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he was a fourth degree knight. He always had a great time volunteering his serving skills by passing out fish at the many Knights of Columbus fish frys over the years. He had the biggest heart and absolutely loved his doggies. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and cousin who will be missed by those fortunate enough to have loved and befriended him.
He leaves behind his mother, Faye Arnett, Warsaw; brother, Craig (Jody) Arnett, Warsaw; three sisters, Doris Kay (Roger) Ousley, Hernando, Miss., Melody (Richard) Shock, Warsaw and Kim (Todd) Galbraith, Goshen; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Arnett; and two nephews, Aaron and Darrell.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
Jimmy’s life will be celebrated with a funeral mass at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 125 N. Harrison St., Warsaw, and officiated by Father Jonathan Norton. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
