Sen. Braun Files To Run For Indiana Governor

INDIANAPOLIS — U.S. Sen. Mike Braun has filed paperwork to run for Indiana governor in 2024.
Paperwork was filed Tuesday, Nov. 30, according to the Indiana Secretary of State’s website.
The decision by the first-term Senator from southern Indiana creates an open race for his Senate seat. His term ends in 2024.
The move was reported by numerous outlets Tuesday morning, including Politico, which said it confirmed the action by Braun in a short phone call with the Senator Tuesday.
Gov. Eric Holcomb is term-limited and numerous Republicans are expected to file for the 2024 Republican primary.
Fort Wayne businessman Eric Doden, a Republican, has already announced plans to run for governor and has a website.
