WARSAW — Work on the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department’s new office is going well, according to Department Superintendent Larry Plummer.
“Things are moving right along,” he told InkFreeNews.
Plans are for the 6,230-square-foot office, located at Indiana and Fort Wayne Streets, to be finished in early 2023, Plummer said. Workers will start enclosing the building soon, as winter is coming.
Plummer noted that the office is in “a great place for the public to access us.” The department previously had an office near that area that’s since been torn down. Operations were moved into the home of Kosciusko Senior Services at 800 N. Park Ave.
The new office will allow the regular parks’ staff and its maintenance employees to be in the same location, a huge plus, said Plummer.
“We just look forward to getting into it,” he said, adding that “I’m glad the (Warsaw City) Council has supported us (in getting a new office).”
