North Webster Community Public Library — Hanford To Teach Women’s Self-Defense Class
NORTH WEBSTER — The following activities are set to take place at North Webster Community Public Library. Attendees do not need to have a library card to participate in any of these events.
Adult Events
Steve Hanford from Lion’s Karate will be teaching a free women’s self-defense class from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16. Please register in advance so they know how many to expect. This will be a great opportunity to learn and practice self-defense moves and strategies.
Chair Dance for Fitness, 4-5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, followed by Let’s Move Dance Class, 5-6 p.m.
Teen Events
Teen Cafe, 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14. Play Mario Kart, eat snacks, enjoy board games and drink coffee. This event is open to anyone in grades 6-12.
Anime Club, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15. Join in as they watch the third episode of “The Promised Neverland” and the first episode of “Fruit Baske.” Snacks and pop will be provided. Please register in person or by phone. Anime Club is open to grades 6-12, but is recommended for ages 14 and older so they can share a wider variety of content. Parental permission slips are available for students under 14.
Youth Events
LEGO Time, 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14. Come for an hour of freestyle building fun. LEGOs are provided — just drop in and join the fun. This event is geared toward ages 5-12.
Baby and Toddler Time, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15. Join in for a fun experience of songs, stories and learning. Then plan on sticking around for meaningful and relaxing play plus networking with other parents. Appropriate for children ages birth to 36 months.
Preschool Story Time, 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16. Bring your child for a fun time of stories, songs, activities, crafts, learning and socialization. Appropriate for ages 3-6.
Family Movie Time, 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17. They will be showing the movie “Clifford the Big Red Dog.” It is rated PG and lasts 97 minutes. Bring your own water bottle, but snacks will be provided.
