Vote For Marshall
Dear Editor,
As a lifelong Kosciusko resident, he served first in the Milford Police Department and then 15 years in the Kosciusko sheriff’s office – with a 13-year stint in the Army between, where he served in Iraq.
In the sheriff’s department, he has served as the senior firearms instructor and team leader for the SWAT team and was then promoted to assistant commander. He also serves as a member of the hiring board.
James Marshall has specific goals as sheriff. First, he wants to secure our schools. His role as an active shooter instructor has prepared him well for this task.
Second, he is very concerned about child sex abuse and cybersex crimes. As a certified forensic interviewer with Child First of Indiana, he is well qualified to lead the charge to protect our children. His goal is to strengthen our investigations division by hiring an additional detective and partnering with the Indiana State Police Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Third, with his many years of leadership experience, he desires to strengthen officer training and promote jail safety with a real team effort.
Fourth, he wants to ensure transparency and accountability by forming a Community Outreach Committee of one or two members from each township that will meet monthly to hear complaints and suggestions from all areas of the county.
Fifth, he has strong desire to work very closely with other area law enforcement agencies. James Marshall is well respected by his peers, both within and outside the sheriff’s department. He is a conservative family man who will lead with honor and serve our community with respect.
I firmly believe he deserves your vote. He is worth the effort to split your ticket.
