UPDATE: Three Teenagers Found Dead In Car In Kosciusko County

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Robert Bontrager, 18, Rome City; Karen Miller, 16, Topeka; and Nathan Yoder, 16, Topeka were pronounced dead after being found unresponsive in a car just after 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30. The vehicle was found on the property of 10852 W. CR 900N near Etna Green.
The Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office oversaw autopsies today, Monday, Oct. 31, performed at Northeast Indiana Forensic Center, Fort Wayne. Preliminary indicators point toward carbon monoxide poisoning but toxicology results are pending.
Indiana State Police responded to the call of the three teenagers being found unresponsive.
Trooper Aaron Price arrive and found a blue 2008 Ford with Bontrager in the driver’s seat. Miller and Yoder were both in the back seat. The three were pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing by ISP.
