AKRON — The Tippecanoe Valley School Corp. is hosting two special meetings seeking public input regarding the planned renovation of Tippecanoe Valley High School.

The first is at 6 p.m. tonight, Oct. 31, and the second is 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7. Both are at the TVSC Administrative Office, 8343 S. SR 19, Akron.

According to information from the school, tonight’s meeting is “to discuss and hear objections and support regarding the proposed 2022 Modernization, Improvement and Renovation Projects which include renovation of and improvements to the Tippecanoe Valley High School including site improvements and the purchase of equipment and technology (the ‘Projects’).”

At the Nov. 7 meeting,  “the Board will hold a second public hearing to discuss and hear objections and support regarding the proposed Projects and will also consider the adoption of a resolution making a supplemented preliminary determination to enter into a lease agreement relating to the Projects and to issue bonds to finance the completion of the Projects.”

Also at tonight’s meeting, the TVSC Board is to read a tentative agreement with the teachers’ association. There will also be an executive session.
