New Lane Closures Announced For WL Roundabout
News Release
WINONA LAKE — There will be new lane closures for the Winona Lake roundabout project, starting on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
That’s according to Phend & Brown, the contractor for the roundabout being constructed at Winona Avenue, Argonne Road, Park Avenue and Kings Highway on the border between Winona Avenue and Warsaw. The company sent out a press release on Monday night.
Starting Tuesday, Winona Avenue and McKinley Street will be closed to all traffic. Park Avenue will remain a one-way street heading south into Winona Lake.
Kings Highway will reopen to two-way traffic prior to the Winona Avenue closure. Argonne Road will remain open to two-way traffic.
The trail will remain open, but will be re-routed along Winona Avenue while work on the new trail is completed. This will allow for the complete reconstruction of the Winona Avenue portion of the new roundabout.
Winona Avenue is expected to be closed for four-six weeks to perform this work.
An alternate route is suggested to avoid delays.
