Light Accumulating Snow Possible Monday Night, Tuesday

WARSAW – The season’s first burst of cold and blustery weather is expected to arrive across parts of northern Indiana on Monday, Oct. 17, and again on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service issued a statement early Monday predicting some light accumulations of snow from South Bend to Marion.
It will be windy and cold Monday with periods of rain showers, mainly north of US 30. The biggest chance of accumulation is expected Monday night.
Temperatures near freezing, combined with heavier precipitation rates, could lead to some accumulating snow in parts of the highlighted area on the map.
Winds on Monday and Tuesday will be 15-20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
Chances of precipitation will increase during the day Monday. The chance of precip will be around 80 percent Monday night and Tuesday.
Monday’s high will be 41 and the low will fall to about 32.
Tuesday’s high will be around 40 and the low will fall to 35.
A lingering chance of rain is possible Wednesday. The high will be 46.
