CLAYPOOL — The Claypool Alumni Association has donated $1,020.60 to the Claypool Elementary School PTO.

On Friday, Oct. 14, Claypool Alumni Association Treasurer Ron Longyear presented a check to Claypool Elementary School Principal Melissa Rees during the The Echoes of the Past Fall Festival in Claypool. The PTO is to purchase books for the library with the funds.

The Claypool Alumni Association consists of former students of Claypool High School. President George Scott and Secretary Mary Anna Sprong served with Longyear as the last officers of the association.

The alumni association was formed in 1918 and served the area until they held their last official meeting in May 2019. The Claypool High School was independent of Warsaw High School until 1966 when the last class to graduate received their diplomas.
