Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 7:59 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, North SR 13, south of East CR 150N, Pierceton. Driver: Kelsey N. Stewart, 29, South Mary Lafern Street, North Webster. Stewart was traveling north on SR 13 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 6:43 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, West US 30, east of North CR 650W, Warsaw. Driver: Taylor D. Hepburn, 20, Morgan Creek Drive, Fort Wayne. Hepburn was traveling west on US 30 when her vehicle left the roadway and hit the end of a bridge. She complained of leg pain and was checked by medics at the scene. Hepburn’s vehicle was towed from the area. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4:47 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, North CR 100E, south of East CR 450N, Warsaw. Drivers: Valerie J. Juillerat, 60, West CR 700N, Larwill; and Matthew C. Kiphart, 23, North CR 100E, Warsaw. Juillerat was traveling north on North CR 100E when she rear-ended Kiphart’s vehicle. Kiphart was stopped, attempting to make a left turn. The collision sent Kiphart’s vehicle into a vinyl fence. No injuries were reported. Damage up to $10,000.
- 9:42 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, West US 30, west of North CR 800W, Warsaw. Driver: Josephus Turner, 71, Bensley Avenue, Calumet City, Ill. Turner was traveling west on US 30 when his vehicle sideswiped a concrete barrier. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 9:48 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, North Parker Street, near East US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Charles L. Lamb, 74, East CR 600N, North Webster; and Patrick S. Shetler, 32, Hickory Street, Walkerton. Lamb’s vehicle sideswiped Shetler’s. Damage up to $1,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 2:54 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, Chestnut Street, near 13th Street, Winona Lake. Driver: Devion C. Stansberry, 24, West Superior Street, Osceola. Stansberry was traveling south on Chestnut Street and attempted to make a left turn when his vehicle hit a landscaping wall at 1301 Chestnut St., Winona Lake. Damage up to $2,500.
