FORT WAYNE — Questa Education Foundation celebrated its 85th anniversary with a presentation by best-selling author, Steve Pemberton and reception on Oct. 6 at Sweetwater Sound.

Friends of Questa attended the event, including community members, partners and current Questa scholars and alumni. Executive Director Liz Bushnell expressed gratitude for the community leaders, volunteers and donors who make it possible for Questa to support over 400 local students each year. “Questa is an incredible community resource made possible because of the people in our community.”

Questa was originally founded as the South Side Loan Fund in 1937 and has grown significantly over the past 85 years, funding over 5,000 students with nearly $20 million in aid. Student stories shined as Questa scholars both past and present shared their experiences.

Looking to the future, Questa is expanding to fund over 450 students this year through support from new funding partners and local employers who are investing in the future workforce of northeast Indiana.
