Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 10:56 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, West SR 25, west of South CR 780W, Mentone. Drivers: John W. Francis, 76, Center Street, Burket; and Jamie L. Alvarez, 36, West CR 200N, Etna Green. Francis was passing Alvarez’s vehicle when a sideswipe accident occurred. Damage up to $1,000.
• 11:02 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, South SR 15, north of West Dixie Drive, Silver Lake. Driver: Gilberto D. Menchaca Menchaca, 29, South Grant Street, Roann. Menchaca was traveling south on South SR 15 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
• 6:23 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, West US 30, west of North Walnut Street, Etna Green. Drivers: Jackson S. Spicer, 18, Morning Mist Trail, Memphis; and Charles L. Sanders, 51, Corby Boulevard, South Bend. Spicer was traveling east on West US 30 when he rear-ended Sanders’ vehicle. Spicer complained of pain to his elbow and lower arm area. Sanders complained of neck pain. Damage up to $25,000.
• 6:02 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, East Main Street, west of South Harrison Street, Atwood. Drivers: Cheri R. Cooke, 54, West Broadway Street, Etna Green; and Gabriell A. Conn, 25, East CR 500N, Orleans. Cooke was traveling west on East Main Street when she rear-ended Conn’s vehicle. Cooke complained of chest pain and was taken to a local hospital by her husband. Damage up to $10,000.
• 4:11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, South CR 1000W, north of West CR 900S, Akron. Drivers: Brittian M. Stewart, 25, South SR 19, Bourbon; and Paul T. Fites, 81, East CR 50N, Akron. Stewart was backing his vehicle, a wrecker, from a driveway when his vehicle was hit by Fites’. Fires was traveling south on CR 1000W. Fires appeared confused from hitting his head and was taken to Woodlawn Hospital. Damage up to $25,000.
• 5:57 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, East US 30, west of South SR 13, Pierceton. Driver: Timothy L. Hargis, 60, Greenwood Avenue, Fort Wayne. Hargis was traveling west on US 30 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.

Milford

Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:

• 5:50 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 106 S. Higbee St., Milford. Driver: Nathan R. West, 37, East Beer Road, Milford. West was backing his vehicle into a parking space when he hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

• 10:29 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 600 N. Colfax St., Warsaw. Drivers: Peggy L. Criswell, 49, North CR 800W, Nappanee; and Rita K. Cauffman, 75, North Colfax Street 219, Warsaw. Criswell was backing from a parking space when she hit Cauffman’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
